MADISON SQUARE PARK RESIDENCE | NEW YORK, NY

In 2012 IPD Partners renovated this 3,500sf full‐floor apartment overlooking Madison Square Park in Manhattan’s Flatiron district.

A full Custom Kitchen with stainless steel and polished nickel accents was finished in a custom gray lacquer, matched to the designer’s exacting specifications. The kitchen door frames were wrapped in polished nickel to mirror the custom‐made Paul Rudolph chandelier, which dramatically floats over the kitchen island. Clear and gray mirror were utilized throughout as reflective elements, giving depth to the space. Calacatta Gold marble slabs were fabricated for the kitchen countertops and island, giving a classic yet modern feel to space.

The apartment’s four bathrooms were completely gut renovated, which included custom fixtures, tile, and slab work. The Master Bath features book‐matched solid slab shower walls and matching vanity tops.

Overall, the muted white and gray palette of the woodwork and walls, combined with the serene nature of the polished stone and reflective surfaces throughout, creates a modern, airy feel while at the same time allowing for a feeling of mental clarity and comfort. Complimenting these tones, a built‐in wall cabinet wrapped in gray ultrasuede and incorporating a faux smoked mirror fireplace, 60” LED television, and bookshelves creates a focal point for the Living Room.

Completing the picture, the apartment is illuminated with modern LED lighting throughout, programmed for multiple lighting scenes through Lutron lighting controls designed and programmed in‐house by IPD Partners. Recessed Lutron roller shades give either privacy or expose a view over the park for both living and entertaining.
